Gingerbread House

Every year my piano teacher builds an awesome gingerbread house, which she then covers in icing and sticks small figurines on. I always enjoy just taking a moment to sit and look at her beautiful handiwork. I wanted to get a picture this year to show other people what she can do!

Christmas Ornaments #10 (Last One!)

I’m about out of anymore ideas for ornament pictures, so I’m just going to put the rest of the ones I do have in this post. I hope you have enjoyed the holiday pictures I have posted, and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Ornaments #7

This is a picture of an ornament at my piano teachers house. Every year she has a BEAUTIFUL tree… because they actually use a theme, unlike our tree that is just whatever we feel like putting on it. They have done a red and gold theme for the last couple years, and so there are always Poinsettias and golden strands of cloth on the tree, accompanied by tons of red and gold ornaments. This year, I decided to get some pictures of her tree, to try and share its amazing beauty. So the next couple posts will be of ornaments from her tree.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Delicate

Delicate –

Very fine in texture or structure; of intricate workmanship or quality.

These are a few things that I think are delicate:

But human life is the most delicate thing that God created:

Christmas Ornaments #6

This year we decided to try stringing popcorn and cranberries to wrap around the tree, and it turned out to be a lot of fun! I helped my little brother, and I would put three pieces of popcorn on the string. He would then proceed, with  ever so much caution, and attempt to poke the needle straight through the middle of a cranberry. And then, with a sigh of relief if he was pleased with where the needle had gone through, and an unsatisfied shrug of the shoulders if not, would hand the string back to me, so that we could repeat the process.

I had quite an enjoyable time, and no one nicked themselves with the needle, so I think everyone was satisfied with the work we had done.

Christmas Ornaments #5

This is one of my favorite ornaments on our tree. I love the contrast of the white/gold… and the red and green spots add some nice color as well.

Christmas Ornaments #4

This snowman ornament on one of our little trees helps spread the festive, and cheerful feeling around our home. I get a big smile every time I see it…

Christmas Ornaments #3

This is the last of many angel ornaments that we had, the rest of which most have either been lost or broken. But this one now being the last, makes it all the more beautiful and special.

"Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger."
